I put words in their place

A creative soul with a molecular biology degree, I decided I’d had enough of lab work and dove headfirst into copywriting in 2016. Since then, I’ve packed a lot of experience into 6 years and proven myself in a wide range of mediums.

Not-so-humble brag:
The first radio I wrote won an award

Hydrogen Advertising will always have a special place in my heart for taking a chance on a hungry writer with a slim portfolio and big ideas. Here are some of the campaigns I worked on, starting with the award-winner. (Hint: Click images for full campaigns)

From there, I joined GreenRubino, an agency across town. Turns out my radio caught some eyes…er…ears.

Then I got to experience my first *gasp* layoff dun dun dunnnn.

Don’t worry, it was one of the best things that ever happened. I took a sabbatical, traveled all over, slept in tents, wrote a novel, and started freelancing for brands like Salesforce and Cintas. I’d love to show you that work, but they won’t let me. Talk to their lawyers.

Next, I wanted to try something I’d only heard agency folks speak wistfully of: in-house.

Once I was done with my walkabout, I stuck the landing in Florida and got a job for TIAA Bank, which eventually turned into me working for TIAA, a Fortune 100 company.

Appendix

Not everything is portfolio-worthy but you may find that some of these logos click through to the work I did for the company. It’s sorta like an easter egg, but probably way less fun.
